First stop as a wwoofer I worked in a dairy farm in shepparton. The dairy farm, Monaquil Park, belongs to Michael and Julie Glass. Milking is not as easy as you think.

You will have to round up those ladies. Give them a pat and move them in. Get up close and personal with those titties, while doing so beware of the poo and pee that will fall upon you!

Milking these some 200 ladies twice a day, at 6am and 4pm is no easy feat! Don’t you waste those milk you are drinking!

Cheers and get high on fresh milk!

Take a tram and alight at the GPO, walk around to Little Burke Street and you will find this charming little cafe. A space that is just about right for 10-15 seatings, on the big commute table or along the wall on the high stools. I was already attracted to the cafe when I saw a review on espressomelbourne.com. On the ceiling of the interior, it has hundreds of chairs above your head! This have since been “the place” that I want to visit! Plus its the perfect location if you are in the city and need a quick coffee fix!

I ordered a long black and the flavor of the seven seed blend is perfect for a long black. A cup that is a well rounder, smooth, bold, right extraction, right temperature. It simply made my day and made my trip to Melbourne worth it. And this may just be the beginning of my amazing coffee journey in Melbourne.

Hello Melbourne!

Ralph and I arrived in Melbourne, nice and fresh with a great flight from Emirates’ business class! Weather’s great! It was cool and windy of about 15-19 degrees!

Denise picked me up from Southern Cross Station. She showed me around Melbourne, I’ve been around the city almost 5 times in 2days! In every mode of transport (city tram, car, van, bus, kayak) possible and of cos we walked! Walking is the best way to get around the city I think!

Douglas, Travis and Yee Lee touched down this morning. We still got around to many places. St. Kilda beach, where the Luna Park is, with some wooden roller coaster. We walked down the beach, had an ice-cream, saw some little penguins. Head to Chardstone, a mega mall, that’s really big and nice, low end/ high end, all in. Travis brought me down the river and we kayak all the way to St Kilda bridge, it was a great way to see the city!

I am falling in love with the city! <3

Located along craig road, near tanjong pagar, this cafe is just 6weeks old! From the first time I stepped into the cafe, I fell in love the sunroof in the middle of the cafe. The communal table set up right under it, allowing daylight running through those windows, it’s the perfect corner for me.

Here are some of my favorite dishes from the cafe, sweet corn soup, roasted tomato soup, vegetarian bruschetta, frozen cheese cake and croissant and butter pudding.

My absolute favorite dish is the Panna Cotta, the light fluffy vanilla flavor is perfect with the berry coulis, I have to have it on every visit!

I have to admit that I am a person that would never (but never say never!) order a chai tea latte, as I do not like the minty flavor (referring to the chai tea lattes I have had in Starbucks), but the flavor of the chai spices worked amazingly well with the milk here! I am a fan now. Another drink which is my favorite from the cafe is their green tea latte, and it comes with a special black sesame green tea cookie!

p.s.: Some of you would probably know that I worked in selfish gene cafe as a coffee barista, this is my entry as a customer, not a staff. ;)

p.p.s.: If you do visit selfish gene cafe, do look out for the chalk board wall next to the sunroof, I dressed it up with some of my drawings. :D
