I stayed with Lloyd Godman and Tess Edwards at their artist Baldessin Press Studio Retreat for 10days as a wwoofette, as what Tess would call her female wwoofers. I have my own little self-contained cottage which is absolutely adorable and comfortable. Tess is an amazing cook, I’ve had the most tasty and beautiful vegetarian meals during my stay, we would also have meals in the garden, how lovely is that?

Lloyd and Tess brought me to the Saturday St. Andrew market which has many local produce and crafts. There’s a wood fire oven pizza shop, A boy named Sue, just across the market and Tess celebrated her birthday with some of her close friends and I was also invited to join. :) The pizza I had that night was so good that we went back for dinner the following night! And I’ve also had the most delicious desert pizza ever! The dough is light and have hazelnut chocolate on the base with poached quin (some kind of pear) and hazelnut, the combination is just heavenly!!!! I wish I could teleport ALL MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS so that they could try that!!! If I am staying in Melbourne I would go St Andrews as often as I can for their pizzas!

Lloyd is also the artist for the revolving garden, he have many beautiful works, which you will be able to find on his website. Apart from eating and eating, I did worked on the garden and also moved truck-loads of horse manure!

Staying with Lloyd and Tess was indeed a beautiful experience.

Adelaide is 9hours drive from Melbourne! Trav, Lee, Ralph and I went on a road trip over Ester weekend! As its a long weekend no shops were open, so we decided to watch a movie and it so happened that Trav and Lee will watch movie when they are in another state. :D But guessed what?! The whole cinema only had 3 of us watching!! We could jump up and down left and right! Hahaha! We also went to the beach, which is what Adelaide is known for! It was a short but fun road trip!

What a fun little trip to the Sydney Fish Market it is! I wished I could stomach all the fresh seafood! The seagulls were always near you if you have food with ya! As recommended by my sister, I had fish & chips and calamari all by my self! And you know how Aussie portion works!!! I was so full that I skipped dinner!

However, Tsujiki Market is still my favorite market!! :P

I had a blast when I was in Sydney for a week! Stayed at YHA at The Rocks which have an amazing view of the Sydney harbor bridge and the Sydney Opera House! I met an amazing roommate, Sibylle from Switzerland which we spent some time having some random walks and exploring the city! Fernn flew in from Singapore and we went to Adriano Zumbo at The star! I joined the Google+ The Walk Down Under walk and met Step, Iwona, Ross and Phil! I also met up with beautiful Emily who taught me many tips and tricks to her amazing lights photos!

Apart from all the beautiful people that I met, there’s the stunning Opera House and Harbor Bridge that doesn’t fail to impress me everyday, at every angle. Will update more about Sydney! Too many photos for a short week!

It was a warm autumn evening when Trav and Lee decided that we should kayak on the Yarra River, this was my second time doing so. The first time when I kayak with Trav was when I just arrived in Melbourne in Feburary! My muscles sore for two whole days!

However this time when I kayak, my muscles were all toned from farming and I did not ache at all! :D

Thanks to both Trav and Lee, I had an amazing time not only on the Yarra River, but in Melbourne too!

I’ll be heading to New Zealand on Monday! Will try to update my Sydney, Adelaide and St Andrews trips before I fly to the kiwi land!!!

Have you heard of the City Greeter service? Many major cities in the world have this amazing service where locals will show you their city, they will bring you to hidden laneways, less know paths that tourists will not know, in small groups of not more then 4! Plus, it’s absolutely free! :P

I’ve got a very knowledgable guide, Paul. Paul brought us into buildings, explained to us histories and cultures! Coincidently, in the group, we were all female travelers! All the girls were amazing! We even went for lunch together and did the Parliament House tour after!

Everyone that is going to Melbourne should get themselves booked for a Melbourne City Greeter tour! I bet it will be an unforgettable experience!

Points Lonsdale is in Geelong, which I went the weekend after I got back from the great ocean road. Trav and Lee brought McKenzie, Brady and me there! Beautiful place with beaches that is almost untouched.

We had so much fun exploring the place, jumping off cliffs and had ice-cream at queenscliff! As sun was setting we head to St Leonard’s for some awesome good pizzas!

Hello Hello! I’m very much lagging behind on my blog! Ops! As you will noticed if you are following my travels on instagram (@tdrawer), that has more real-time update!

So! Yes! I was so very excited about my drive on the great ocean road! I was on my first car rental, I got a brand new Hundai Accent it was a 1.6l car! I drove from Geelong and was lost on my first turn and missed the highway to the great ocean road. Right! How great was that right? But, oh well, I had anticipated that I would take a wrong turn at some point and it actually took me 1 hour to get back to the right track. Do not judge me.

I love Lorne a beautiful little town along the great ocean road, where i saw many beautiful white cockatoos but decide to stay over in Apollo Bay instead. Apollo Bay is a great location for a stopover before heading to the Twelve Apostle which is about 1.5hour drive away.

I met Gisela at the hostel I was staying and she joined me for the drive from Apollo Bay to Port Fairy. Set off early towards the Twelve Apostle but it was raining very heavily! Lucky for us, the rain did not follow us to the Twelve Apostle instead, the Sun came out and greet us! So, we stop over at almost all the scenic lookout points, there was London Bridge, Loch and Gorge, Bays of Island and many more I think… After awhile, they all kinda looked the same. lol! And so, we proceed to Port Fairy, I drop Gisela off at the hostel and proceed to the Grampians!

There were many road kills along my drive towards Halls Gap, a total count of 11 I saw on my drive. There were also times where a wallaby dashed out onto the road! And times where I saw them right at the side of the passenger door. I did a few bush walks in the Grampians, one of which was to the MacKenzie Falls and another to some lookout which I cannot remember the name now. Beautiful lookout where you can see vast land and endless sky. Many wildlife were spotted along the way. There were about 20 wild Kangaroos grazing at the backyard of the hostel I was staying at, it was a beautiful sight.

The next day I head towards Ballarat and back to Geelong. I drove a whooping total of 786km and on the second day a total of 11hours! It is pretty much a big drive for a girl from the tiny sunny island of Singapore, it is a great way to see Victoria and I would recommend everyone to do so!

cheers to self drive road trips! Honk honk!
